Tonight We Make History (P.S. I can’t be there) is inspired by the title painting of Harland Miller’s 2016 solo exhibition at Blain|Southern Berlin, where the artist unveiled a new body of paintings, including a selection of works continuing Miller’s iconic Penguin series, which sees the artist playfully reworking Penguin book covers. This print is formed through printing multiple etching plates with silver chine collé to create the appearance of a worn book cover that has aged over time.
