The Variety of Morphological Experience: Hibiscus, Miltoniopsis Orchid (Newton Falls), Strelitzia & Mandevilla Laxa is Manifold Editions’ latest collaboration with Marc Quinn, inspired by the artist’s new watercolour meditations on the incredible varieties of flowers created through evolution.
The Variety of Morphological Experience is connected to Quinn’s Flower series as well as his paintings of human irises, which reflect the variance that occurs across humanity as each individual plays out the process of evolution.
Quinn says, “These new prints are a celebration of the diversity in nature, and the many kinds of beauty found within it.”
These editions have been printed using highly pigmented inks through the digital printing process to reflect the subtle watercolour tonalities of Quinn’s paintings in this series, enhanced by the textured Arches Aquarelle Rag paper with hand-torn edges.
