Paul Morrison
Paul Morrison (b. 1966) graduated from Goldsmiths College in 1998 and now lives and works between Sheffield and London. Morrison’s landscape paintings, murals, films and prints include imagery inspired by a wide array of sources as various as newspapers, cartoons, antique volumes of botanical illustration and sixteenth-century woodcuts. Since his first solo exhibition in London in 1996, exhibitions include Repicturing the Past/Picturing the Present, at MoMA, New York (2007); Murals at Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona (2010); Nothing is Forever at South London Gallery, London (2010) and Gold, Belvedere, Vienna (2012). Paul Morrison’s work can be found in collections worldwide, including the British Council Collection; MoMA, New York, and the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
