Peter Blake’s The Venice Suite comprises a portfolio of 20 silkscreen prints inspired by the artist’s time in Venice during the Biennale of 2007. Blake adopts his signature collage style to juxtapose detailed images of the city’s ornate architecture with quirky characters and unexpected visual motifs. Blake uses a variety of source material, including photographs, postcards and illustrations from children’s books, to create a playful, fictionalised reimagination of Venice.
