Screenprint with diamond dust
Also known as silkscreen, a design is transferred into a mesh ‘screen’, which is stretched over a frame. The design acts like a stencil, blocking out specific areas of the screen. A squeegee is then used to force ink through the mesh, transferring the ink into a sheet of paper below through the permeable areas in the design.
Adhesive is then applied to specific areas of the print using the screenprinting technique. Diamond dust is poured onto the print and the print is then lifted, dispersing the diamond dust over the surface so that it sticks to the adhesive areas.
