Dennis Morris

Dennis Morris (b. Jamaica, 1960), legendary music photographer, producer and performer, had his first big break at 16 when he was invited to cover Bob Marley and the Wailers on their first British tour. It was Morris’s photos of Marley that caught the eye of the young Johnny Rotten, who requested that he take the first official shots of the Sex Pistols. Morris’s work with the band established his position as one of the most exciting music photographers in the country. With a career spanning over 40 years, Dennis Morris continues to photograph musicians, with work featured in Rolling Stone, Time, People magazine and The Sunday Times. His exhibition credits include the Photographers’ Gallery, London; the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
