Armageddon: Is It Too Much To Ask? is Manifold Editions’ second publication with Harland Miller. The image derives from Miller’s original painting shown at his 2016 solo exhibition, Tonight We Make History (P.S. I can’t be there), at Blain|Southern Berlin. Miller’s most recent paintings are created from his own book cover designs, taking inspiration from popular psychology books from the 1960s and 1970s. Describing Armageddon, Miller says, “it’s an image that you see one way – then, when you relax, it flips and, no matter how hard you try, you can’t see it the original way. It’s symbolic of how you read the title.”
